At a charming little theater space in Bremen, Germany, we are planning to stage a Kate Bush Cover Night right on the day of her 50th birthday. Plans are to invite a few live performers and to feature the prominent and best loved Kate covers via turntable. (Also as a silly little extra there will be a fashion booth where you can get your hair styled the Kate way (for men we think Duran Duran ;))
This is both to pay tribute to one of the innovative musicians of today, who still inspires many other performers - and to get connected & hopefully dancing.
There are some inevitable costs any event organizer has to pay for - and we are now trying to collect that via the grand ole internet. We are trying to raise at least 150 Dollars to pay for the Gema fee, which is actually a fee that goes into the musician´s pocket. We as a crew don´t make a dime on it. Money collected at the door will be used for the performers and all other extra costs.
We´d be truly happy if you´d chip in and help out!
